Jordan valley runs through the sea of galilee which is -200m. The site is a long ridge of about 300m high.

What is exciting about this place?

Stunning sunset flights

Is it beginner friendly?

This site beginner friendly, but keep in mind that midsummers can get strong around midday, so know your limits and fly on calmer times of the day. Mornings and evenings are wonderful for beginners. None of the takeoffs are large and grassy, most takeoffs in Israel are small and rocky.

What are the local regulations?

No regulations, no registrations, no license requirements. Just remember that there are important airspace limitations, which change frequently, and it is best to ask local XC pilots advice for this, especially if you would like to fly outside of the weekends.

What is the Climate like?

What is the temperature?

When is best to go fly here?

You can fly in Israel all year around. In Summer, which is June to august, you can make early thermal flights before the sea breeze kicks in, or wait for the breeze and enjoy great coastal soaring between Hetzliya and Netanya.

Omer
You need Westerly winds for this site, in the winter it turns easterly, and therefore unflyable.
In the summer it is known to get strong winds, gusty punchy thermals around midday. Beautiful sunset flying possible on most days.

You can watch the sea of Galilee, where you can watch the breeze come in. Some days a bit stronger than needed.
