Paragliding at the Cape Town Base

The Flying Experience

What is exciting about this place?

Is it beginner friendly?

Cape town is not suitable for schooling or beginning pilots. It is best (and regulatory) to contact a local school to get the right training and qualifications before flying her on your own.

What are the local regulations?

You must obtain a SAHPA license (as a visitor or South African), TMNP permit, briefing, and more:

Know before you go

Due to rapidly changeable weather conditions, it can quickly get dangerous. Unfortunately some very experienced pilots have passed away here. We must take weather conditions seriously and not fly if you have not checked the weather thoroughly before taking off.
