While it will still be winter in Europe, Morocco will be wonderfully warm, offering some of the best flying conditions of the year. As an experienced tour guide I offer an all-inclusive experience for those pilots seeking the perfect combination of ideal weather, stunning landscapes, skill-building, and relaxation. I want you to have an unforgettable paragliding holiday.
Who is Abdo?
For me it all began just 200 meters from my village, right at the Eagle's Nest - a spot that’s now famous in the local paragliding community. Growing up, I would watch pilots take off and soar above the cliffs and on the dunes, and it always fascinated me. I didn’t have the chance to fly back then, but I felt very drawn to it, and so I began to learn as much as I could from the pilots around me.
Back then, paragliding was new to the area, and I didn’t have the money to buy a proper glider or harness. But that didn’t stop me. I eventually got a hold of an old glider and started groundhandling on my own. I wasn’t flying, but I enjoyed every moment of practicing on the ground, and hopping around the dunes.
Eventually, I was able to afford the gear I needed, and that’s when I really took to the skies. The feeling of flying was everything I’d imagined, and more. Since then, I’ve been hooked. The skies of Morocco are my home, and I cannot wait to share them with you, showing you the places that I know best.
When I’m not flying you will find me walking down the cliffs along the Atlantic coast, to our long, golden beach. It’s a peaceful place, and I love spending time there, especially with friends from the village. We often camp out, fish, share stories, and read. It’s a great way to relax and connect with nature. There is always something new to discover, whether it’s in the air or on the pages of a good book.
What is the general itinerary?
We will be based on the south coast in Morocco, near Mirleft, but we will visit other nearby sites if it offers better conditions to practice. We may visit sites such as Aglou, Legzira, or others.
For your cultural awareness it might be good to know that it is Ramadan starts after the 28th of February. Foreigners are normally served food on normal hours of the day, but the locals will be fasting and therefore refrain from eating and even from drinking water.
What is included?
We try to keep all cost to a minimum, without leaving out any comforts. This is what is covered in the price:

What are the requirements?
Important documents:
1. In order to fly in Morocco you need to acquire a flying authorization. I will help you with this, once you are signed up.
2. I advise to get a Medical and Accident insurance covering paragliding in Morocco, like MedJet, Global Rescue, etc.
3. Passport, valid for at least 6 more months.
Gear:
1. Bring paragliding gear suitable for your skill level. Recommended is an EN-A or EN-B Glider. This is not a retreat for Enzo’s, but feel free to bring one to use in your own time.
2. Travellers diarrhea is real in Morocco, bring some imodium or similar, just in case!
3. The dress code is relaxed, including for women. Morocco is very open to tourism and locals are used to see different outfits especially in touristic places. The only exception will be when visiting sacred and religious places where there'll be a stricter dress code where both men and women need to cover up.
Experience:
I welcome any level of pilot and encourage learning, no matter how experienced you are.
Rescue & Safety
Whereas I strive to keep you as safe as possible, please be aware that paragliding always comes at a risk and that you are in Africa, without access to European or UK rescue standards. The hospitals in Marrakech and Agadir are actually of a high standard, but there are no helicopters for rescue, and only few ambulances with paramedics outside the city. In any case I advise you to get an insurance, covering rescue and repatriation and medical expenses that specifically states the policy will cover paragliding activities.
What are the Accommodation options?
We use several accommodations based on how many pilots are coming. When we are full booked then we stay at a moroccan style villa with swimming pool and we hire a cook. When it is just you, we make sure you can stay in an apartment.
