What will we do?

Friday the 8th of March is a Travel day, this is when we do Airport shuttles, get you settled in and do a gear and experience check. This way we get to know your style and level a bit.

We will be based on the south coast in Morocco, near Mirleft, but we will relocate to another nearby site if it offers better conditions to practice. We may visit sites such as Aglou, Legzira, or others.

Friday the 14th of March is a Travel day, this is when we do Airport shuttles to bring you back to the airport in either Marrakech or Agadir (if previously requested).

For your cultural awareness it might be good to know that it is Ramadan during this retreat. Foreigners are normally served food on normal hours of the day, but the locals will be fasting and therefore refrain from eating and even from drinking water.

* On days we cannot practice (which are rare), we will do our best to organise another activity like camel rides, visiting a local market, etc. Some of these activities might have an additional cost, but we will discuss these with you before making any plans.

Where will we stay?

We have reserved a comfortable Moroccan style accommodation, which is shared with another pilot. (Private rooms on request). The hotel has a swimming pool with views of the take-off, a traditional hammam (hot steam bath), and offers a fusion of traditional Moroccan and continental cuisine. It is the perfect spot for anything related to paragliding.

The hospitals in Marrakech and Agadir are of a high standard, but there are no helicopters for rescue, and only few ambulances with paramedics outside the city. In any case we advise you to get an insurance, covering rescue and repatriation and medical expenses that specifically states the policy will cover paragliding activities.
